How Long Does It Take To Issue A Visa?

Dear QLers,

Anyone know - on average - how long it takes for the Ministry to issue a Visa?

I'm a UK expat, and have now sent all my documents to the company in Doha, who have today ( I think ) submitted the visa application. Providing that all is in order - and it should be - how long will it take them to get a visa on my behalf?

I've been told about a week. Does this sound about right? I'm still waiting to hand in my resignation here in Saudi which I can't really do until I get the Qatari Visa, so hopefully it should be a quick and simple process.

TIA.

No idea if they have any 'wasta' with the Immigration. As far as I know, they only submitted the paperwork yesterday, and I don't know this for a fact, they certainly RECEIVED all MY paperwork yesterday / day before.

It's a pretty big employer, part state owned, so would imagine they can do it pretty quickly?

Thanks for the info.
