How long does it take to transfer my sponsorship from company to husband's ?

I am processing my change of sponsorship from company to husband's. I already got NOC from my company as well as other requirements as stated on the immigration form for change of sponsorship.

My questions are, how long does it take for me to be transferred to my husband's sponsorship? And, do I have to present my original passport to the immigration department upon application of the sponsorship change? My original passport was with my employer and they said that they will give me back my original passport once I was able to show them a receipt from immigration department indicating that my application was approved.

I am in desperate need of help. I would greatly be thankful.
