I renewed my philippine passport last May 05, 2011 but until now I haven't received the new one. How many days does it takes to renew a passport?

the passport renewal is supposed to be atleast 45 days but i think there was a problem in the philippines that why passports being renewed nowadays is taking too much.  in the philippines, it takes 65 days for normal charges and if it is rush, it takes 55 days. but now, its taking more time than 55 or 65 days.  what philippine embassy do now is to extend the validity of your passport in 1 month if it will nearly expire to make your passport valid.

My wife applied for the renewal of her passport last April 5, she received SMS from the Philippine Embassy that she can claim her new passport just three days ago.  It took almost 3 months.

it should be only 45days and you should receive an sms once it is ready for pick up. i applied for my son's new e-passport and we receive it after roughly 40days. i think you should go and follow it up from the embassy kabayan.
