Hi I'm Ramil a new user of this site from Philippines.And I have two things to ask for the advicers of this site.
The first thing is;

I have a job offer from Qatar as a service crew in a fastfood chain,and the salary offer is 1200 QR,my question,is it ok for a service crew with that salary?

My other question is how long does it take to have a working visa in Qatar?The employer is the one to get us our visa and the agency took our original passports.They applied the visa last November.And we are still waiting.

Please do answer my questions and I'm sorry for the questions because its my first time to apply and work abroad.Thanks a lot in advance.

don't forget guys, he will be receiving tips. The better he serves, the more tips he gets.

Even in Canada, sometimes waiters work ONLY for tips..and guess what, they still manage to make up to $4000 per month!

"Discrimination is big here in the Philippines".. yallah, come here for comparison :)

Such a pleasure to hear useful advices...

The employer told us that accommodation is free and the food is free when we are on duty..

I think I will accept the offer,because I have nothing to do here in the Philippines.

Discrimination is big here in the Philippines.

I am an undergraduate of College and I am only 5'4 in height..It's very difficult to find job here if you are like me..

THANKS GUYS.....

Don't even bother to come here for that salary. It'll get you nowhere.

A first job abroad is not based on the salary, but you must first consider the work you are going to do there and after satisfaction of the employer, you can get some grants.

Be patient in your first job abroad.

Please check if that QAR 1200 is on NET. Verify the accomodation; food and transportation cost. This is the basic one. QAR 1 is Php 11.90, sometimes may fluctuate. For the working visa, it depends on the approval from Qatar Immigration. How long? not all are same time frame. Be patient, dont quit your current job unless you got your working visa.
