I am the private tutor who ask for advice about the 400USD salary that my agency is offering me. All the advices i receive from this site says that i have to turn down the offer.... My question this time is how??? I have now my visa and had attended the pre departure orientation seminar. Im just waiting for my job order at the momment and began to worry me why it takes for two weeks now and still unrelease. Another question is that in my visa they didnot write my profession as teacher instead employee is written there. Its hard for me to turn my back off because i believe my agency wud not allow this, worst that i maybe paying penalties, they wud blacklist my name and i dont like this to happen.... What wud be my best solutions rescue me plssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!

Back out now or regret later...and when happens, the more you cannot resist. Back out whilst you are still there. How did you agreed for four hundred dollars? Are you that desperate to grab it?

I dont think you can survive with 400 USD which will be equivalent to QR. 1450/-.

Brother,

Think first and talk, salary they are offering for you is simply nothing to survive i Qatar honeslty, you cannot even offord to live a normal life with this salary, good for you to search somewhere else or avoid your agency and try to contact the employeer directly.

All d best.

I know that you are confused right now KABAYAN but for me if you have peace of mind and you think you can survive with 400 U.S. dollars salary then go for it but for me just a piece of advice cost of living here is very high i dont want to discourage you but that's the reality come to think of it that you are a professional there are lots of opportunity to come just have patience come to think of it 100 times because if you are here there is no turning back you must finished your contract and i dont want you to suffer for having a wrong descision for having a low salary. hope it helps you.godbless..!!!

The 400 USD, it is not worth to immigrate from your country plus not enough to live in such rich country. Call the employer and talk about the offer, when they know u are going to cancel they might give you at least average salary for a teacher which is not less than 1200 USD plus accomodation

Did you pay the placement fee already? If yes you're trapped. If not just tell the agency that you have realize that the offer is not good. Then just walk away dont think about blacklising, they are not the only agency. Private tutor here will end up as an all around house maid. Read some of the threads here.

If u're feeling uneasy about it the best thing is probably not to take it. Do u want to risk blacklisting on the agency list or facing a pretty poor life here?
