I am having my father passport with me in Qatar and got working visa for him.
But my father is in India.

His passport is valid till 11-August-2012. Hence he needs to fly before 10-Feb-2012, from India, """just few days remaining""".

My question is, can I renew his passport in Qatar (Indian Embassy) by submitting his passport along with the required documents and applications duly signed by him and couriered from India.

As I have only couple of days left, your valuable suggestions will be of great help for me.

Why doesn't your father renew the pp in India?

Why are you trying to do it from here.

Tatkal services should be available in india as well and can do it fast track.

You can check the exact requirements directly from the embassy, but I don't think it's right that you have his pp here with you.

Actually the passport is in India currently. As it will t take time in India for renewal, my father wants to send here for renewal due to lack of sufficient time.

I was just finding out the possibility.

Really Thx a lot yv2r, my friend for your quick suggestion.anyways.

you will be in trouble, when your father has reached India, in his Passport Arrival Stamp will be there and if you submit here for renewal, they will ask you where is Arrival stamp of Qatar.Holding some ones Passport (even if it is Fathers Passport) is illegal and you also may be deported back to stay with your father back home.

Better you send him back the Passport and get it renewed and come back.

I am trying to discourage you, it is only a word of advise or possibilities of consequences.
