This friend of mine fell in love with a beautiful lady from another part of the world (name withdrawn). The friend lives in Qatar here while his love lives in her home country. The man was on holidays 2 months ago in his country. So, his love followed him there for the intention of getting married, but due to government rape tape, they couldn’t do their civil marriage during the holidays. However, they managed to do Islamic marriage contract and received Islamic marriage certificate from a recognized Islamic organization in the man’s country. The question now is this: can this man use this Islamic marriage certificate to bring his wife to Qatar here so as to stay together as `husband and wife`? In other words, does Qatar recognize Islamic marriage certificates issued by Islamic organizations from outside Qatar? As the 2 partners are not from the same country, do you think that could raise an issue?

no, it won't be recognized. I know one couple in the same situation. they have concluded inslamic marriage in UK. Both are muslims. In Qatar she is not recognized as his wife, and therfore he cannot sponsor her as her husband.
It seems that the Civil Courts failed to endorse the marriage Certificate, better check with your Embassy also.

yes it is ok...and it doesnt matter wether its interracial or between aliens or humans..... as long as its from a recognized authoritive govt body in any country... make sure to get it attested for authentication....

as long as the islamic marriage certificate is authentic, it should not be problem. for muslims, they prefer the islamic certificate rather than the civil marriage certificate. so whether you are from arctic marrying someone from antartic, it should not be a problem as long as your certificate is legal.
Get copies of this certifiate attested by a legal body.
trick question: has this girl converted to islam? unless she has converted, i dont think they can do a muslim marriage.correct me here, if i am wrong.
Qatar is not islamic country they will never accept this.
It might work if the certificate is very clear and can be used as their main proof of marriage.
