Issuance of work visa for Pakistani Nationals
Hi 2 all of you living in Qatar.
I have been very curious about one query. I have got an offer from a very prestigeous company. I signed the offer letter and sent all the required documents alongwith it. But its been a month I haven't got the Work VISA. Everytime I call to the HR they say that the Government is not issuing visa to Pakistani nationals but we are intact with the immigration department for your visa. I want to ask you all that would that be a show stopper or its just a matter of time. And one more thing to mention here is that one of my colleague has also got the job offer from the same organization and he has got the work visa. Can anyone guide me through. It would turn out to be a great support from all of you living out there as I am very much keen to get this job.
Regards,
Sobu.
Any one from Pakistan got his residency recently?
Please reply me if you know someone. I need more information about the process
Thanks for your valuable comment on my matter. If half of my salary would go in paying rentals then how about other expenses like travelling expense, food and small miscellaneous ones? One could you also entertain the topic I posted earlier about the work visa???
Sobu.....if your Accomodation & Transportation is taken care of by the company, then 10K would be pretty okie.....otherwise, dont expect to save anything as half of your salary would go on paying your one bedroom apartment....Apart from that, living here is also expensive. You can use the search tab to know more about the living expenses here in Doha.

Give me another Chance...I wanna grow up once Again
And one more thing is that how do you rate the salary of 10K a month (except medical and air-travel) for a couple in Doha, QATAR.
What is PRO? And what do you suggest that when should I resign from the current employment? I do not see any other time to resign except when I receive the visa thru e-mail. The reason is I would have to take experience certificate alongwith me and I could have it once I put forward my resignation. One month is gone according to you how many weeks more I would have to wait???
Sobu,
Yes, sponsor strength, your position e.g. manager, engineer, accounts etc matter.
and key element is your company PRO.
Do not worry InshAllah you will get it, just make sure you do not burn your ships until you are in Qatar and have your visa stamped, also sometimes it is difficult to get family visa on a side note.
but with good salary and sponsor it is ok
ALLAH HU AKBAR - GOD IS GREAT
Thanks alot. Are you from Pakistan? The company is the largest in its industry. How immigration department considers application also depends upon the strength of the sponsor?
Sobu,
no necessary a show stopper, for Pakistan including few others it is tough but you may have to wait for 2 - 3 months but InshAllah get it
ask your company to get you on business visa on mean time
ALLAH HU AKBAR - GOD IS GREAT
