@ alexam, thank for your advice, I really wanted to try my luck in Dubai if I couldn't find a new job here once my contract end this June.

@Guru79. The duration of your tourist visa will no be enough to find a job. Remember there was a recesssion there about a year ago or so. Looking for job needs somebody to guide you and where to go at the right place at the right time. Your qualifications and experience will be vital and the availability of the position you are going to apply.Your luck plays a big role too. There's no harm in trying. I'm just giving you advise to prepare yourself in advance. The cost of the tourist visa has nothing to do with the distance of the applicant. Ask the travel agency for information and guidance.

You can go to Dubai in Visit visa. For geting resident visa there, you need to cancel your qatar resident permit . This is as per the new GCC laws.

reclee123 thanks, how much will it cost me to buy a tourist visa from Dubai? being Dubai so close from here, would that mean cheaper visa cost? my main goal is to find another a new job there in Dubai and not really to visit or for pleasure.
