Is it possible to obtain a dependent visa (RP) for mother?

I have recently moved to Qatar where my family has also joined me. However I have had little luck sponsoring my mother who is 56. I was wondering if anyone here has been able to sponsor their parents who are totally dependent upon them (UAE has a visa rule that allows expats to sponsor parents).

Any help is appreciated.

Dear Friends,

I have a colleague of mine who had bought his mother on a Permanent Visa, which was 2 years back. But for my understanding he had to provide several documents and had to visit the Immigration team several time. In fact our company had also supported him for this matter.

here that is the irony, we cannot sponsor our parents, very difficult, u can only keep them on visit visa which is extendable upto 6months and after that they have to make exit and has to reenter again on new visit visa which will be valid for another 6 months.
