Hey QL members...

I just read an article that Qatar is thinking on the lines of abolishing sponsorship system in Qatar? Is it true? To many of us it would be an answer to prayers!!

Bahrain has already adopted this system and kuwait will follow in Feb-2011, even UAE i guess in due course...
lets hope for the best!

i read it in Gulftimes i think last month or so. the qatar government said they are considering it but lots of consultation and study before they can reach a final decision. i hope it happens very soon though.

Any way, just hope for the best. Even if they reduce the ban would be a big help to workers.
