Kabayan, you need the below requirements:

1. Old Passport

2. Authenticated Marriage Contract

3. Application Form

4. Fees

It will take 60 days processing. Madali lang sya, yun lang matagal ang paghhintay. Ang mahirap is yun pglilipat ng visa sa new passport mo, kc you need to undergo lots of procedures. Good luck :-)

perhaps you have misinterpreted my suggestion...honestly, just like you i also experienced the same kind of treatment from the phil embassy staff that's why i suggested that it's better to process it in manila...

in that way you can avoid dealing with the staff of the phil embassy that upsets a lot of filipinos seeking help from them...either way, whether you get the best suggestion from QL or not you can never get away from doing the transaction with the phil embassy because they are the ones only authorized to do the thing...and definitely you will face the same people who pissed you off the first time you asked them about the procedure...unless otherwise you process it in manila if possible...

that's what i'm here in QL and asking for help that's all,im sorry to say this but i didnt like when u say go back to manila to process this things so that i i dont get upset for the way they treat me,it's like u r no difference from that guy who told Lei to fly back in Philippines,(para kang namimilosopo nyan),i know im not the only one who experienced the same treatment coz that is their habit now to piss off their kabayans that's why im here in QL and asking if anybody knows the process so that when i get there i know now what i'm going to do without any hassle and without arguing their staff...less time, less question and less mistake.....

that's how they treat their fellow kabayans .. u can't do anything about it... it's either you take it or leave it... besides, it's not only you who experienced the same treatment from the phil embassy staff...it's quite normal for them to piss off every filipino who come to phil embassy for help...

i agree with you. well said..

i remember that was almost 3 yrs ago, when we went there and ask them about how to authenticate marriage certificate into red ribbon,u know wht that one staff told m?he said to me with sarcastic "Fly back to Philippines"and he looked me from head to toe...stupid huh...just a simple instruction but he didn't give it to me instead he replied me a stupid answer..

im not that rich to go back in philippines just to process my passport so what's the use now of Philippine Embassy here in Qatar?of course we all deserve to be treated fairly and decently, and i think i dont deserve their treatment since i was just asking nicely..is it so hard to give a simple intruction to their kabayan since that is also part of their job?..tsk tsk..

1. Old Passport

2. Authenticated Marriage Certificate

3. Completed Application Form using new Name

4. Payment of fees

Since your passport is expiring anyway. You will need a new passport. Your new passport will reflect your change of surname.

Just be reminded that if your visa is not yet expired, after your passport is renewed you have to go to the process of stamping your visa to your new passport.

It is very simple... just bring your original passport & marriage certificate to the embassy and from there, they will give you the instruction.
