Leave Qatar and require some info

I was hired in big Q Company. Everything is good and no complaint at all. Now I want to leave Qatar for good after 7 months. My problem is
I have an apartment agreement for 2 years. Now I want to terminate my contract as I am planning to leave Qatar. I want to give them 2-3 month advance notice. When I signed a contract, I asked them to make this as condition however agent told me that, this is understood and no need to be in contract. If you want to leave Qatar, you can terminate the contract anytime. When I visited rental office this morning, the rental manager is not willing to take my notice period and asked me to come back when your RP is cancel and then we will talk and you may have to pay approx one year and 5 months of rent as per new law. I don’t understand this and don’t agree what he said, my question is
Should I leave Qatar during my vacation, when I reach my destination, just called them and tell them that I will not come back as many other people did this?
Keep in mind that I have good relation in my office and no loan. They only problem is rental company.
If I ask my company for NOC OR cancel RP which I have no problem, I am wondering that my rental company will find out this and they will put my name in the immigration and I wont be able to leave Qatar and they will put my in jail or something.
i am very confused and willing to do right thing, however I am not willing to pay one year and 5 month of rent. this is un justice.
Please guide me i am in the same situation....

That mean more trouble and pay him/her as well and make thing more complicated.

I think you are pretty safe. what is he going to do with your cheque if there is no money in the bank. secondly you must consult some lawyer or rent dispute department.
he is NOT telling me anything, he should tell me that find a tenant or pay for two months, he already have my one month rent. he should be co-operate and help however when i visited his office, he just asked me to pay for one year and 6 months when you cancel your RP.
there is rules about it you just pay for one more month if you wanna leave on spet you have to pay for oct thats it

JUST MAKE AN ADD .. ( FLAT FOR RENT ) WHEN U GOT ANOTHER CUSTOMER.. JUST BRING HIM TO REPLACE U AND GET UR CHECKS BACK--
Further more, I am willing to loose one month advacne rent. if they dont willing to pay me, i am still fine. but not for one year and 5 months. please advise
