Leaving Qatar Unactivated Credit Cards

Hello Everyone!

I recently applied for Doha bank credit card but a week after filing my application for credit card I got a job in KSA and decided to leave Qatar. I called the Doha bank representative to cancel my application but he told me that the application has already been processed. A few days back i received a call from Doha bank that my cards are ready and they wanted to know where can they send them, on my office or home address. I told them i ll collect the cards from the bank. Then the next day I received a call from Qatar post that they have a package from Doha bank for me.

I want to know do I need to cancel my credit cards for the final exit because I have not activated them. I have talked with my payroll department they told me that they won't be sending my salary to the Doha bank account so the bank cannot retain any funds. They also told me that if I don't collect the cards I don't need to cancel them. I want to know if I don't cancel the cards will there be a problem in my final exit from Qatar? I just have one week left, please advise if anyone knows about this.

Also the cards are now with Qatar post, does that mean I have collected them from the bank?

even if you collected the cards and NOT ACTIVATE IT, then the card will stay inactive and it wont effect your exit from qatar, just take it and leave it with you till it is expired.
