medical examination for resident permit

I am an Engineer wil be joining Ras Gas soon as i am waiting for my visa.I am presently undergoing treatment for kidney stone but I am afraid that I may have problems during medical examination.Please let me know whether urine check is done during medical examination and as kidney stone is not a life threatening disease will I be disqualified for Resident permit as I do not want any hassles after I resign from my present job.Can anyone PLEASE.....SEEEEEE Reply as it is very urgent and important for me to take my decision.

thanx Don ! but before leaving your current job anyone will definitely crosscheck all adverse possibilities might come in his way. Not worried about urine test , but worried because of stones there r RBC in my urine

Sarah, r u sure it is kidney stone that we are talking about here? u seem to wooried about it doing a urine test. kidney stone is not a disease, they will not deport u for that. wait few months and then come this way all the "stones" will vanish

so it appears from all replies that they r checking urine on a random basis. but if u show them doctors certificate from my country , will it be accepted by them ? or will they give me an opportunity to recover ? or they will deport immediately to my country? pls advice

I've had tests done twice - once while extending my visit visa and later while applying for a residents permit. Urine tests were not done both times.

I did my medical examination right after my interview in Doha, they took samples of blood and urine. I do not know if this was for work permit or something else. Don’t quit your job check with your recruiter first

I did my medical on Thursday and the urine WAS tested! So was blood, x-rays, etc.

There is no an urine check during medical examination. Just a blood analisys and X-Ray.
