By-pass surgery/Medical test
By-pass surgery/Medical test
I am an Engineer and have undergone by-pass surgery 5 years ago, after a case of Angina (as a preventive measure). But I did not have an attack. I only had to take 3 months rest and am working since then without any problem. I am quite energetic and fit to work. I can well do the stress test.
However, surgery marks appear on my chest, arm and leg. A chest X -ray will show wires tied inside. I also take some drugs for lowering cholesterol and for blood thining. I am also diabetic but controlled with drugs.
Will I have a problem in passing the medical test?
Will I be denied the RP due to my surgery?
Please advice.
Legally, you are fine with the prevalent medical conditions, you are fit to work, BUT you need to disclose this medical situation during your pre and post employment medical check ups.
Secondly, it is in the hands of the management whether they would like you to get employed under these medical complications. Practically, if you are qualified enough to impress the management with your potentials and credentials; they will not have any hassles; ALL the best
You could get the RP. You dont have a contagious disease.
Thanks Mandilulur, for your kind reply. Thank QL for the invaluable service.
