We are a US family, and I am considering a position in Qatar. I have college going kids in the USA, who will join us during vacations and such, where they could be staying with us for few months at a time. Should they get permanent resident visas for Qatar through my employment?

What are the pros and cons, if any?

Sir,

Go tp sri lanka and get the permanent resident visas in sri lanka. you will be happy with natural environment.

Oh, and nothing is permanent! One to two years is the norm for an RP!

Check with your HR but I think you cannot sponsor a son over the age of 18. No sure about the current laws on daughters. Your HR probably won't want to seek RPs for grown kids who won't be here full time. They can always come in on renewable tourist visas, so no real problem.
