i need help! i applied for a job in doha in a local agency here. i have been done with the medical and stuff but after 6mos they cannot get me a working visa, they said i have to still wait. my bf who is in doha said i can just get a tourist visa and apply directly there. i can even get a better job and pay? is it ok to go there by tourist then have it converted to work permit? there are rumors that it is hard to get a work permit for a female worker, is it true? i am contacting my employer directly to see if i can just go to doha by visit visa then apply there directly so there will be no interference of an agency. what are the requirements? how long before i can transfer from tourist to working

haven't you heard of qatar? This is a small place with lot's of opportunities..

everything you said is possible. the thing is that you're just afraid.. don't be afraid, come to doha and find your future here.

Best way is for you to contact your soon-to-be employer directly.

They shall fill you in with the requirements. If you really want to get this job then you can do that or fly in to Qatar with a tourist visa. Although you will have a limited time to look for a job, you can have options on which job you want to take and of course decide properly on the salary. It's risky but more often than not, I see a lot of Filipinas doing this.

You can do that! ;) All the best to you though!
