I been in Doha for more than 3 years now. The 1st year was from a construction firm then i decided to leave and ask for Release Letter. Luckily i obtained one. Now ive been working from my new company for more than 2 years now. My questions is if i decided to resign/ or get terminated, will my new company provide me a release letter since i was also provided my my previous employer???

So many topic discussed in QL about this issue and i cannot find direct answer to my question. Forgive me if i opened up again this issue. Appreciate it much if anybody could provide me a clear answer. thanks

YES majority gave at least 99.9% correct; irregardless of how many times u had secured NOC in the past , it does not guarantee you that you can transfer to another company again with no NOC. , NOC is the basic and prime requirement prior to transfer ..its a LAW.

GOOD LUCK...

Srid80, please quote the section of labour law that applies as I've never seen it!

They are under no obligation to give you an NOC. It is purely at their discretion.

Yes as per Qatar Labor Law u should get NOC or you can approach the labor Court.

U will get it since u joined the second co. with a NOC letter and the 2nd co. did not sponsor your original visa.

Hope this answers ur question..

Dear the actual fact is: the employer is the only one capable of deciding if you get a release letter or not.

It does not matter if you worked 1 yr or 50 yrs. If the employer gives it good!!! if the employer doesn't provide one then so sorry.

Regards!!
