Police clearance certificate for qatar RP
Hello all,
Im asking this on behalf of a mate.
What kind of companies requires the PCC inorder to hire employees. Is it:
1) Govt
2) Semi Govt
3) Large MNCs
I wish I could ve answered him, but when I got employed 4 months back in Qatar and I was not asked for the PCC. Im just curious to know why?
My mates got an offer from Malomatia, the spin-off from ICT Qatar. Is Malomatia a Govt organisation or a semi-govt organisation? They have not asked him for the PCC as of now - but then he does not want things to get delayed should this requirement pop up later.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
Hi xajx, I wanted to know if they asked your friend for PCC? One of my friends is also in the same situation so he wanted to know if it is a must?
Thanks.
Thanks mate.
To my understanding Malomatia is not a government organization. They did originate from ICT Qatar who is 'sort of' government but do weird things including marketing of services, including Malomatia services, that makes it unclear whether they are government or not. (Just to clarify, ICT of a country is supposed to be an independent governing body but this is not the case in Qatar).
A PCC was not a requirement up to about 3 years back, but I'm pretty sure you need it before you will get CID clearance, which is required before your company can officially sponsor you. Not sure why you did not need this at Vodacom, but a possible reason could be that Vodacom operates from the 'Free Zone' area of QSTP and does not fall under the 'normal' rules. For Malomatia your friend will most probably need one.
Mate, i was not asking the cost of the PCC.
A PCC is not a must for all new employment. Its required for certain sectors only. What are those sectors.
I am working for Vodafone and I was not asked for it. So I am trying to understand the logic between, why its required for some organisation and its not for others.
It doesn't cost you more than 100 QAR and also its valid for min 3 months..maximum one day you can collect it from embassey.
