I have searched the net on how to get a visa to qatar and found that hotels can provide it, My friend is looking for a visa for couple days just a tourist or a visit visa which ever is easier.. can anyone help me with the information about getting the visa through a hotel?

oh and you dont really need any information just approach these local 3 star hotels and tell them you need a tourist visa, they will ask you for all the required documents.

Yes most of the hotels here in Qatar can provide you with a "hotel visit visa" which is I think valid for a week. Your friend will have to stay in the hotel room however and some hotels might allow your friend to stay outside provided you are paying for the rooms OR you have wasta :P
