I brought my baby at 55 days and got Visa on arrival at airport .Next week I will apply for Residence; it will be 21 days by then after arrival. Hope there is no fine since he came before the new rule on 25 april.

You need not to worry about it. When baby is travelling bring Original date of Birth Certificate. Upto the age of 2 months baby can enter with passport and DOB certificate. There is no fees for that. But you have to submit papers for RP with in 7 days of arrival in doha and fees for RP is 400. (New rule (7 days) effetive from 29-04-2009 otherwise penalty QR 30 per day).

Visa in not required for your baby if the entry to qatar is within 2 months from the birth date ( before it was 3 months). passport and birth certificates are required. visa will be stamped from doha airport and can be converted to RP within one month from entry. the procedures are very simple to get RP.

Pl write your actual question to my email address>>[email protected]. I can help you.

1.Is your baby born in Qatar?

2.Is your wife holding a working visa from a company or housemaid visa?

3.Did you collect the baby's birth certificate from National health authority(Qatar)?

Regards

Iqbal

Don't worry. your baby will get the entry visa from doha airport if they are entering within 3 months after delivery. After entering doha within two weeks you can extend baby's visa.
