regarding fingerprint

My husband is done with his medical before the Eid. A few days after he was told by his PRO to undergo fingerprint. When he was at the CID he was told that no need to do fingerprint as he had still his recent record which was done a couple years back while with his previous employer. Is it acceptable?

No need to go for finger prints again. I have my self recent experience, did only Medical for change of sponsorship and in some cases needs Police (CID) Clearance certificate, which I got without any new finger prints.

Thanks qatarisun for clearing the issue. What bothers my mind is regarding the fingerprint. I thought you need to re-do everytime you apply for a new RP. Now, it's all clear.

it's not only acceptable. THIS is the procedure. He had to re-do his medical because health condition can change. Fingerprints never change. What's the point of re-doing it? Most likely PRO didn't know that your hubby had an RP in Qatar earlier, that's why he sent him to the fingerprint. Otherwise all he had to do is to clear your hub's fingerprint, and that's it.

Let your hub tell PRO about his previous RP and PRO will complete the RP. By the way, you will see the "new" RP number will be the same as the "old" one.
