Requirements for Resident Permit (Family)

Qatar - RP (Families already in Qatar with a Visit Visa)

I am sharing this information for those who want to apply family visa for family. Please find the following steps My wife was in Visiting Visa, when I applied.

STEP 1: Emigration Office, Markhiya - Gate No : 3

1. Documents Required Sponsor Details & Documents

• Typed Application Form for family visa

• Company NOC

• Labour contract attested copy.

• Passport copy

•ID Copy

• Degree certificate (Attested by MOFA,Qatar)

• Arabic translation of degree certificate.

• Bank Statement (3 Months and highlight the salary)

• Tenancy contract (Baladiya attested)

Family Details and Documents

• Passport Copy of Wife.

• Marriage Certificate (Attested by MOFA,Qatar).

• Degree certificate of Wife Attested by MOFA,Qatar (if available)

•-With all the above documents I Submitted the application on 25/11/2014.And I got a receipt with an application number. 

Normally the result will be published after 3 working days. Check the status in MOI Website. Alhamdulillah, my visa approved on 7/12/2014.

-Note:If you install METRASH 2 application in your android Mobile, You will get all the status by SMS and you can do the payment by mobile.

STEP 2: Date:7/12/2014

• Took the printout of the visa from any of the service centers in qatar.and I done from Emigration Office, Markhiya - Gate No : 1.

• Pay 200 QR for New Visa and 500 QR for changing visit Visa (to avoid further exit).

• I got a receipt, when the payment is made STEP 3: Medical Check up

• Go for medical checkup with the Visa Print Pages received from Emigration together with Passport. And I done the medical on the same day 7/12/14.

•If Family already took medical at the time of extension of Visit Visa – inform the same to the counter (show the medical receipt of visit visa). Then test not required..

• Same day I got the message by Metrash application, that “the medical is OK for my wife”.

• In the SCH Website it came on 8/12/2014.

STEP 4: Finger print

• If you enter the VISA Number and Sponsor ID Number you can see one page with your applicant details

• Some Supplementary details are also to be filled in the same application (through online) including address in Doha, Occupation of Applicant, Education etc.

• Fill the required items and then take print.

• You will receive a filled application form with a place to paste applicant’s Photo.

• Apply for each applicant and paste photo, Sign as required including sponsor’s signature.

• With the same documents visit the Finger Print Section.

• I done the finger print for my wife on 9/12/2014.I done at Mesaimeer service center. You can do the finger print at any of the service centre having this facility.

• Within 1 hour I got the message that finger print is OK.

STEP 5: Resident Permit

• We went for Getting RP on 10/12/14 at Mesaimeer service center with the finger print documents.

• Inform Visa required for (1,2 or 3) years.

• If it is for 3 Years .it is QR 1060

• Get Residence Permit in the Passport and collect your ID card at the same time.

It took me only 12 working days from the application to finish the above process.

If all the documents and your profession are perfect, then they will not reject the visa. GOOD LUCK
