Once my husband (who is already in Doha) has his residency permit, what is the process for my son and I to get ours?

How long does this whole thing take?

I realise my husband as our sponsor must help us get the process started. However, does my husband have to be there from beginning to end? I'm simply asking this as he travels a lot for work.

He'll be there when we arrive in Doha to get the ball rolling on our paperwork, but does he need to be there for our RPs to be processed and granted?

Yes, your husband should be present in DOHA while processing VISA and other formalities for you and for your kid.

Yes ,he must be there during all the process or paper works otherwise process will not proceed. I faced this when i submitted papers for residence permit of my brother's family(his wife & daughter).
