I have a Qatari ID and am on a work visa, so am I a resident or a non-resident? I need to know for visa purposes for another country as I have to get a Police check. And I know if I am a resident then I need a Police Clearance Certificate and if I'm a Non-resident it's called a Police Good Conduct Certificate. If that makes sense... Everything in Qatar always seems to be so confusing...

Dear AEB85 work visa is also called a resident visa in short its called RP (Residence Permit) and you are saying that you have already qatari id card so than 100% you are a resident of Qatar.. And still if you got any type of confusion..you may go through the process..ok :)

Work visa is a resident visa so you are resident without resident permit yet. :)

Once you go through the process, you would get your resident permit.
