RP for my wife

August last year my wife went back to our country for giving birth my boy. Now, i want to take her back here with my boy. She still has valid RP till july 2012. I heard that if somebody has been outside qatar for more than 6 month, RP will be cancelled and i have to start from zero applying visa again for her. But, i heard also that somebody can pay QR500 at airport for continuing the RP.

Please advice whether those issues are valid. Thanks so much for any comment.

No problem with my boy, i've prepared his birth certificate.

You check expiration using "Official Documents" on the left of this page http://www.moi.gov.qa/site/english/eServices/index.html

I have the same situation like you, As long as your wife RP still valid till July, there is no problem.

You have to go to -Al Garaffa Immigration office - Gate No. 3 - 2nd Floor - Border Security Office, and approach them with copy of RP (your wife RP) + medical certificate (maternal leave0 + Birth certificate of born baby. they will charge you QR 500 for extending RP which will be valid for one week, with a period you have to bring your family here.

Once expired, the RP cannot be patched with QR500. You should have done the extension before it expires.

Of course that is 'your boy' but same way 'your boy' is your 'wife 's boy' too !

check the MOI website and fill in the form and take it to Immigration and pay QR500 she can get return entry on the same RP. Check with your company PRO.
