Single name in passport
Please i need your help in my below query:
I am in Qatar right now with family (husband) visit visa. We are planning to apply my residence visa under husband visa, but i am still using my single passport (means i am not using the family name of my husband yet). Does it affect the application for my husband visa? Do i need to change my passport into married status?
Please help. Thanks. Maraming salamat po! GBU..
Change it again to husband's name .. .. ..
Single name In wifes passport soi added her father s name in me trash its still in under process can some 1 help out of this is there any problem
Here in the Gulf, women don't assume the family name of their husband when they get married. I thus think that your case would not be something that the authorities would take an issue of.
thank you for your replies...
@fullthrotle - my visit visa is approve for 6 months stay.
my wife didnt change her passport when we were processing her visa.
So I think its not required.
as long as you have marraiage certificate, no problem!
You may do it if you want...however, not necessary!!
if your on family visit visa (under to your husband) -is ur visa stamp and 3month stay?? if so theres no problem with that you can transfer it to residence directly.
Just give a Copy of your Marriage Certificate....
Single name is not a problem at all..
we are in same case, but i stil using my single name yet i already have my visa under husband sponsor..without changing the status of my passport, i dont think that affect as i never have a problem on mine. But you need your marriage contract to prove it since your still using your last name. and marriage contract should be in Red Ribbon attested fro the DFA Philippines. Thats how we did to mine, since it takes long time to change your last name in passport in the philippines
Your passport should include your husband's name and status changed to married. No need to change your Surname.
In order to avoid anymore hassles and get you & your family for so much questioning upon applying the residence visa, change that status into married.
No issues...U dont have to change to ur husbands family name.. i have been there & done that...
