Does anyone have a clear idea and new update regarding the ban? Who are affected and until when the ban will be in effect?
I have just had my work visa applied last Nov 27 by Qatar Airways. Would it have a big effect on me?
Please help! Thanks.
i already had business visit but i had it last november 6.. i am going to qatar but i am confused if when i'll be in qatar there is a possibility that i can land a job because of the visa ban.. DO i need to worry? I am a nurse.. my work is in qatar.. I applied as direct hire in Hamad hospital. and my mother had doctor who owned a polyclinic where i could also apply. as soon as I'll be in qatar I could go to the HR for an interview.. Do i need problem the visa ban issue?
tahsinmin i'm already here in qatar while waiting for my visa... :)hehehe!!!!
hi everyone!! just this morning I got a call from my coordinator that my visa is already approved....
THANKS GOD!!! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!
any update on your visa?
Hi Richelle, Just to update you my visa is release already thanks god late today and i just have to tell my soon to be employer that if they did not apply it yet i rather back-out since i have another offer but i dont suggest you do the same but apparrently it is on the matter of company not the ban on filipino so dont worry sooner your will be relaese i hope for best result from you
cheers
Firstly, if you had taken time to search the forum, you would have found a number of thread on this matter.
Secondly, the Visa bans are for Filipina MAIDS ON PERSONAL SPONSOR - not companies
Thirdly, I find it very odd that Qatar Airways, one of the largest employers of Filipinos in the country is having a problem getting visas.
And last but not least. Your attitude towards the initial posters regarding English in the main forum, stinks. If you don't want to adhere to forum guidelines, do not post here.
There are rules and regulations regarding posting language. Accept them or move on!
THAT would be 3 weeks to a month or so.
What you need is patience...loads of it.
even for my friends who applied before they say they don't have ready visa and all that i have talked to said QA always have a long time processing the visas..
the company applied a new visa for me.. they don't have visa on hand with them....
for Richelle?
Or the company already have a visa and applied to assign this visa for Richelle?
If its the former....well, it'll be 3 weeks to a month, hopefully
If it's the latter, it should take 1 week.
So which is which?
it is applied on Nov. 27 but as what my coordinator told me and it will take 2-3 weeks process since they don't have ready visa.
so you mean it was not realy aplied on nov. 27 as you said before. but at least the coordinate with you now.
hi robert serano I still don't have any news since it is just a week when they applied mine. I still have 1-2 weeks to wait.. hoping for the best!
hi richelle29 any news/devt. on your visa? just want an update.
http://www.gulf-times.com//ArticleDetails.aspx?AID=334845&CatID=178&Title=Visas%20for%20Philippine%20maids%20suspended
is it true that it has been lifted? thanks.
is it true that it has been lifted? thanks.
well then that friend shud also be able to help you get your visa issued
Got info from my friend the temporary ban was already lifted...
thank you davinloy... as what i have commented before the issue on the language used is already settled. i don't know why other people are still making it a big deal... im here for the answer!
therefore i conclude that most people here likes or more interested on criticizing others rather than giving useful ideas. those who criticized dont even participated on answering her questions but able to give out of the topic comments ..to think of a brilliant idea is so hard but the I--t one is easy..
but it's not worth the time and effort at all.
ENGLISH ONLY in the main forum...irregardless whether its a comment/post or the main topic.
Everyone on board will help with information they have and even if you dislike the comments, that doesn't mean you have to be disrespectful.
LOL
Its about time to revive the Filex (filipino expat) group
robert serano, you said it is so simple but it is not the rule of the main forum. If different languages are posted then it is going to be very difficult and the thread will get deleted.
the issue on the language used is already settled... so if you still want to talk about it please not here. as i have said earlier PLEASE stick on the topic...
come on guys give her a break, dont add up to her worries. what is wrong us talking with our native language. if you dont like it then dont read it, its just that simple period its over.
Next time, if you have any concerns with regards to your nationality, better post on the said group. they will be glad to accommodate you in any way they can.
everyday im doing it. that is keeping me more worried... but still hoping for a better result later on...
i called and send mail already but my coordinator is not yet answering.
until the visa is not with me I cannot be calm and relax... anything can happen...
excuse me all i want here is a reliable answer on my question. you are the one who started this issue and now you are telling me of bad attitude and no respect? this is my point here to stick on to the topic and not divert it to some other topic which is not related to my question. Everyone here is waiting for an answer that we can see the real story coz we don't have the access to get it from the immigration.
britexpat please just stick on the topic... if you want to make this ENGLISH language topic in a forum like this just make on your own. All we need here is a clear answer/view on the topic TEMPORARY BAN ON FILIPINO VISAS rather than diverting it to that. If you have any info about the topic it is much better to give it to us. If the admin here don't want my answer they have the right to remove it.
You make a valid point. However, this is a public forum and thus english is the language for all postings. It allows everyone to folow the thread and understand the flow.
If you want to use a different language, then it should be in the particular group..
tahsinmim i just answered in FILIPINO-english coz the question was asked thru the same manner by robert. by the way the topic here was for FILIPINO VISAS and not the language you need to write on the forum. if you have sensible answer on my question even if its in another language I woundn't mind rather than just agreeing on some other opinion like what you are doing.
perhaps its time to bring in more Cubans ..
tahsinmin-
do you know what is english or not? in her main forum, in was written in english. even if you answer it in filipino or any dialect as long as the QUESTION IS WRITTEN IN ENGLISH there is no problem about. as what you said. ENGLISH IN MAIN FORUM. it is written in english.
ung educational certificate mo b attested ng qatar embassy? im coming from uae, will let you know just in case may devt. skin. just post if marelease ung sayo. just think possitive.
i submitted my noc, copy of passport, entry stamp, copy of cr/computer card of sponsor, copy of my attested educational cert and nbi. i have a rp before and was cancelled i came back here using business visa.
Hi richelle,
Hope everything is ok with you, just want an update about your situation because we have the same scenario mine was also file on nov. 27 but not yet release. What are the document they ask for you if wont mind?
what about those who just wanna visit their family for Christmas? will they issue a visit, tourist or at least a family visa?
but your company have a ready visa already. Mine is they still will apply for new one.
richelle as i told earlier mine was approved. actually it takes 2 days only yet it takes more than a week for the released. it was approved on the 28th. that was i guess the time when i heard this news about the hold.
@Maricris: the ban has nothing to do with UN Global warming (Conference in Doha)!!! ;)
@jiane karyll yes in the article it is obvious for domestic helpers but the company of my friend applied for visas of skilled workers but they were rejected just last week
very racist choice of picture depicted by the author toryscott in this article (VICTORY SCOTT). follow this link to see her picture: http://toryscott.tumblr.com/
it is applicable to those applying for a job as household workers...
so you are saying that after the summit they will remove the ban?
Hi! everyone.. Yap the Filipino visa's are ban for the meantime because of U.N Global warming.
i hope so they do.. i'm just worried coz i will wait for a long time...
thank you for that info @alexam...
i just wish it would be ok for me also...
Qatar Airways told me it will take 2-3 weeks processing since they don't have ready visa..
hi richelle, just posted the same here in the forum. I was so worried in the past days because of the issue. According to some yes it is but it would depend on the company how they will manage. My visa was filed last Nov. 26 and was approved on 28. But just today the company called me and said the visa was finally released. so let's hope for the best for you.
I haven't got any call or email from the company regarding this issue. Just only knew it today with my friend, he ask me if i don't have any issue about my visa.
I just hope everything will be back to normal again...
As far as I know your profession is not included in the ban. It's only for domestic helpers and semi-skilled workers. It has something to do with their salary.
Just wait....and then you'll see.
if your visa went through....thank GOD.
if not... try again...
it is the same story... i need a true answer on this issue... and giving me the same article that i read...
