if u submit in the immigration or in labour office then this visa is not tourist visa, it has to be visit visa. family visit visa approval should not take more then 3 days. if it is taking that much time and showing under process then you can go to that office where you had submitted the application and ask them. they will inform you the reason immediatly. dont wait better go with the receipt (that contain the application number) and ask any couter person they will check and they will inform you the reason.

is got to the immigration and ask about it .bring the application form and go to building 4 .check with the guy at the first counter and he will track your application at the computer and explain to you clearly what is going on with your application.

Sometimes there is a status also that goes like this "APPLICATION IS POSTPONED"

Cheers!!

one more thing, i have an idea that currently tourist visa is restricted for females. that's maybe the reason why they told you that it is still on process...

Not at all times..

If the officer or any CSR issues a receipt it doesnt mean that your document was complete or your application if fulfilled.

Just an expereience, I applied for a family visit visa at Mesaimmer Immigration and it was the highest officer who signed for it and ask the guy on his right side to issue the receipt and he said to check within 2-3 days online. I checked it but it was saying "Application is under process" it was like that for more than a week. then I check it again it was saying now "Sorry No data for this application" Then I decided to go back, I went to the same person who signed my application and he said "ITS READY, NO PROBLEM". Then he print and handover to me.

Second experience, I applied for a Kadama Visa in Wakra Immigration. Not me as the sponsor but my Qatari friend. I believe all documents are there. And Mr. Al Ansari checked and sign the document. After several days I was wondering why the status is "Application is under process" (not exact words). Then I went to him and he said that I lacked the 2nd marriage certificate of my qatari friend thats why my process was still under processing. He asked me to bring the document to him and he will issue the visa in one hour. So I do so,.. and luckily he did his' part.

Tip: the most fast acting immigration office that I encounter was in Al Wakra for personal sponsorship, Mesaimeer for RP renewals and for company matters it will be in Industrial Area.

i'm sorry i haven;t read that you applied it from the agency. then, why it takes so long for them to produce the result of the application. otherwise, it was actually rejected. Call them again and follow-up. You cannot go directly to the immigration because your agency did this for your. Immigration officers will not honor your presence there. Let the agency check it for you.

hi illongamom, how are you now? actually your application is denied, the reasons why, because personal sponsorship is limited only to your first degree family members; wife, children, parents and siblings.Best thing you can do then is go to the immigration and ask the status and then they will going to answer you in questions also. ;)

so it means, it was paid already. Unless there was some problem with your application, but I doubt it. The officer will not issue receipt if there was problem with your papers in the first place.

the question becomes....did the agency paid it.....

It means that the appication is PENDING - what I mean is that there is no sufficient information on the application. What you have to do is to go to the same immigration branch and ask what is the additional requirements that they need.
