Can someone advise if you can renew a tourist visa for another 30 days without leaving the country. I have looked on the MOI website but is pretty vague in detail about this, many thanks.

No you cannot exyend it, if u want to tranfer it to family visit ( 6 months ) yu should submit an application b4 the tourist visa expiration date.

hiya raven,

tourist visa for a country who is not listed in the on-arrival visa category is not extendable after 28 days. earlier we could do this throught Qatar airways paying an amount of 300QAR. Now they have stopped this. I tried for my wife last month. But i could manae to convert the tourist visa to family visit.

My experience says tourist visa is not extendable and has to exit the country. the fine for over stay is 200QAR per day.

I have heard that even if the country is listed in the on-arrival visa status for tourist visa one has to exit and then again come back.

cheers!!!!
