Transfer of family visa when I change my visa
By Goodperson •
I have been in Qatar for last four years with my family. I have recently set up a company along with a local sponsor and am planning to transfer my visa to the company. My wife and daughter are on my sponsorship. Do I need to do anything with their resident permit? Will they be able to stay - not have to leave the country and come back to Qatar? My daughter is in school so I don't want to risk her missing school during the change.
I was going to tell what Translator already posted.
No need to do anything for them, and they need not to leave the country. They are under your sponsorship regardless of who is your sponsor.
The tricky part is this, once your RP is canceled, their RP is canceled as well. So do not go through the "cancellation" route, rather go through "transfer" route. This would make their RP valid.
Just make sure that the new position/job meet the requirement of family sponsorship.
