Please can anybody advise me on the procedure to change a family visa to a working one. My husband has been relocated to Doha for work and is flying out this week. I should be following on a family visa shortly. I would like to work once in Qatar, but I am not sure how easy it will be to obtain a working visa from within the country. Many thanks to everybody!

Congratulations to you and your husband!!

It is very easy to have a family visa as long as your husband is qualified to sponsor his family (kindly refer to Ministry of Interior - Qatar).

The good thing about Qatar, there are lots of companies that accepts husband visa employees thus no need to convert your husband visa with residence permit to working visa; legally, the company that you would be working soon should apply for you a labor card (your husband should issue NOC that he is allowing you to work in Qatar).

GOOD LUCK!!
