transit visa

Hai I want a friendly advice on transit visa , we are planning to travel to USA in 2013 and will do a transit in london heathrow airport as we need to change our planes. Doha- London BA and London -JKF-AA.
we will have a direct ticket with us only we will deplane and get into the other aircraft stop gap is 2.30hrs. kindly advice.

Can you please throw some more light on your question?Its because if you have got just 2.5 hours between the flight,i dont understand why you need a transit visa coz you can do nothing in that time.It takes almost an hour to reach London city from heathrow and there is nothing around Heathrow airport to visit in that period of time.I would suggest,to apply for transit visa only if you have more than a days time or else rebook your ticket by chosing multi city option and leaving a gap of 3 days to roam around in london.Then its worth applying for transit.
