I thought I should share my recent bad experience with a travel agent(Acon travels WLL) in Doha Qatar.

I had a plan to go for Umrah with family during the national day week end , exactly on 18th, I thought why I can’t try the travel agent ACON travels WLL who opened their new branch in Bin Mahmood near my apartment.

Myself walked in to their office on 5th Dec 2014 and handed over all documents including original four passports and QR 1200 in cash for 4 Umrah visa , the staff once gain promised me, they may take maximum 7 calendar days and most of the cases within 5 days you will get your visa stamped.

Since my planed travel date was 18th Dec I am happy, so I am much relaxed and thought I have my visa by 13th Dec maximum.

I keep on tracked the information from the Acon travel agents office, and they fed me with positive information till 14th Dec 2014 stating that your application Passports are in Saudi Embassy now no need to worry, but on 15th Dec they passed me a shocking news that, they didn’t submitted my passport yet to the Saudi embassy and they will do that on 16th Dec, and still the branch in charge confident about the visa stamping by 17th evening, today 22nd Dec 14, it is 18th day till this time (12:30 Hrs.)

I don’t have my visa stamped, also no proper communication from Acon Travels Lessons learned: Never walk in to the posh office until you have a correct feed backs from your buddies about their service, otherwise they may eat your precious time and money!

So friend think twice before you approach this guys for any services and make sure they deliver your requiremnts in time without passing any miss leading information.
