URGENT HELP RE RP & TRAVEL PLS!!

Anyone with real knowledge and experience about Residence Permits and travels who can help me please?

I and my son are both British. I have been sponsoring my son for many years.

His current RP will expire on 19 April. For some important business, he has to go to Hong Kong on his own early next month (prob. 7 - 11 April).

There is no problem for him to still travel on those dates as long as he comes back before his RP expires?

Also, he has just turned 18 in February. As I'm the sponsor, he does not need the exit permit to travel. Right?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

you can't travel to any countries other than your home country untill u dont have a minimum 3 months valid visa,so before the travel u have to renew his RP,and ther is no problems in reneewing the RP beefore the ddate of expiry, even u can do it tomorrow itself..no need to worry, the date of RP will be from the date of expiry only..if u need more clarifications, call me on 30298020

Your son will need an exit permit if you are not travelling with him. Boys travelling without their sponsor need exit permits but girls don't.
