Hi everyone,
Me and my family will travel to Doha on the 16th of Oct. 2011, I wil be with working visa arranged by my employer, my wife and son will be holding a tourist visa good for 14 days and can be renewed for another 2 more weeks.
Once we arrive in Doha my company will arrange my residence/work permits which they told me it takes 2-6 weeks to obtain it and after that they will proceed for the visa of my family.
My questions are:
Is there any way to prolong the tourist visa of my family while we are waiting for the release of my residence permit?
Do they need exit and return to Doha for the arrangement of their visa?
Please help and advice.

travel agencies usually would arrange to have tourist visa holders EXITs (1 months after coming to doha) to bahrain and come back on a new tourist visa on the same day- which enable them to stay here for another month.Unless the tourist visa holders' VISA is transferred to - a working or family visa, they most likely will have to exit .-- your company must have other means in arranging these things for you.
