HI...Guys i just came to Qatar a week back and i really want to go to my home country (INDIA). i am under companies sponsor and they are not giving me the NOC. Is there any way else i can get out.

Also if the company keeps me for 3 months do they have a grace period for my VISA?

Dear Yacine,

I agree with Yacine, for the employer its just expenses and waste of time hiring u and leaving u in a week..lets be fair here, he spent for ur tickets, visa, medical application, accomodation etc.

Anyhow, theres usually a clause in contract which states u can resign by serving a notice period of 1 week during probation. just resign and leave.

Regarding your other post, you cant come back on the same visa as its a single entry visa and ur employer has to again apply for a visa if he wants you back.

I hope your dad gets well, but let's be honest, unless he is seriously ill or dying, why would your employer let you go just one week after he brought you and before he starts processing your paperwork? I have a mom over 65 back home and she falls sick frequently. Do you think I keep asking for holidays every other month to go and visit? Even though my employer wouldn't mind it, I do not think it is reasonable. If I want to spend that much time with my mother then I will resign and go back to stay with her. My employer will then hire another one. So for your case, tell your employer that you will not work with him anymore and that you are resigning and want to go back home. I do not think he will force you to stay and he will eventually let you go.

And yes, you need an exit permit if ur ID has been issued, you can leave the country by the next available flight if your ID and visa havent been issued.

@Sagar2- Just out of curiosity, why do u want to leave Qatar within 1 week of landing here? BTW you dont need an NOC to leave the country, you need an exit permit.

If you want to go after Rp than you have to reply for exit permit not the NOC..

mabsoot: Whilst you make a valid point; There is the provision of Probation in all contracts. This means that either party can terminate the contract with reason or recourse.

If you want to go home, you can go. But forget about the NOC. Why are you asking for it in the first place?

Slave holders???? before you start your accusation, did you ask him how much did he cost the company to come over here?? (agents fees, air ticket, accomidation, transportation, food).

IGNORANCE is the mother of all screw ups.

Did you finish everything in one week? (Medical, fingerprinting, Qatar ID). If not, just go. Otherwise, just go also. Don't work for slave-holders!
