i am planning to visit dubai very soon do i need a visa from the embassy here or i will get visa on arrival or only certain people freom good position like doctor or in good posts get visa on arrival plz clarify thanks
i recently travelled to dubai & had some confusion when i arrived there,,,,
At the time of booking the ticket from emirates they told me that there is no such criteria as to what your position is and that i can get visa on arrival .
However the Emirates officials at the Doha Airport told me i cannot get visa on arrival as i am a graphic designer and it is only for :
Managers , Doctors , Engineers , Senior Exe , Directors , Journalists , Media , Sales or Marketing exe.
I was shocked at the info i got from the Emirates booking office , when i told them ( the airport officials ) they made me sign a paper & warned me that the DXB airport authorities might even send me back from dubai ,,,
I continued with my journey and when i reached the DXB Airport , i was told to get a signature from the Manager of Passport control ,,, he gave me the signature ( phew ) , but advised me that its only as s one time courtsy...
So be carefull & best of luck , DXB is such a lovely place ,,,,

If you go to the official site of the Dubai immigration authority, the only conditions relate to profession nothing on the 6 months
see www.dnrd.gov.ae
and EVERYONE has to pay Dh100?? I mean it's not depends on the nationality or gender or whatever...??
I am just wondering why i haven't pay a penny?
QS, now it's only Dh100.
they just let me in...
Oh no.. really? 500, that's half the cost of the plane ticket!
Do I have to take the hotel visa? I'll be staying with my friend over there.
