if you are in under husband's visa then you can not sponsor your mother.

Yah zordar, he's a great guy.. Qatman, my mother wants to take care of my daughter. In fact, she is so, so, excited to see us and to be with us here in Qatar. Actually, she recommend herself to take care of my daughter.. she also took care some of her grandchildren, and my daughter is one of those, for me there is nothing wrong with that. But of course the main reason is that we miss her.. She is my very best friend. So with all your comments that means only visit visa for my mother, right? what if in case i get a good job, will it be possible for me to apply for her resident visa? Thanks all.. I really appreciate all ur replies, i am new here.. thanks again.. :)

you can get a visit visa through a travel agent. like, qatar airways, get travels etc. for the time of 6month. after that she has to leave the country. better you talk to a any of travel agent, they will give you the details.

think & treat your mother in law as your own mother, there won't be any problem (this is for others not for you ok.)

You can have your mother come as a nanny if you want to go that way. It would mean she would be hired by your husband and be the sponsor for her to work here. I have filipina workers that have done this in the past year. It takes time for the paperwork to go through but he would have to allow it. If he and she gets along with no problems then go for it but if they do not it could cause alot more problems then good. Even if you want to work.

If you are bringing her because you miss her then it is great but if it is just to take care of your daughter then think about it

Thanks for the update Tuzolto, I meant the family Visit Visa and not the tourist visit visa. But I am still very un certain about permanent Resident Visa for Mother-in-laws. If things have changed at the immigration then that is great.

There is the possibliity to get a resident visa if you can prove you are the sole provider. Also as qatman has not mentioned, if you want to have your mother visit on vacation(tourist) you need to do the visa request and not your husband. When my wife lived here, we had her family visit but they needed my wife's RP card and not mine. They told me she has to request for the tourist visa since it is her immediate family. The fastest way is to go to the aiport with the copy of your mothers passport and put in the request and pay. They will give you a reciept with the request number. You will have to check for the visa on line. We recieved it the same day about 10 hours later.

I guess husbands are lucky they don't issue Resident Visa for mother-in-law. Visit visa is possible. (Don't believe your husband if he denies this.)
