I need to get my family to Qatar for 2 months. Can anyone suggest me, if the visa which we get through QA is for how many weeks (initially) and it can be extended to how many weeks more (maximum).

I hope we need to approach the QA offices for this visa, Correct me if I am Wrong?

OR

Shall I tell my companies Manndook/PRO to process/approach the related ministry for a Visit Visa of 2 months instead of the Resident Visa; if yes than how many days does the process takes usually and which are the documents required.

Good Luck.

are you sure qatar airways still doing the visa? i brought my mom last year or i think a year before, when I came to their office they said they dont do it anymore and asked me to go down to the visa office next door to the airport.

I went to the one in the airport, was hassle free. Once I submitted the necessary papers , I can check the visa application progression on line. Then once it approved my mom just print it out from my home country and she carry that to show in the immigration.

Hi,

Yes I think your best option is to bring your mother & sister on the QR 14 days visa. All you need is proof that they are blood relations, which is mentioned on your PP. The only stipulation is that you have to bring them on QR flights only. You can then extend the visa's for a further 14 days & then for 1 month if required, I think.

Take Care,

Hello,

I think you should visit Qatar Airways office and they can arrange you a visa for 2 weeks and which can be extended for few more weeks(this is a bit expenses option), untill you are lucky to recieve you husbands new Qatar ID and apply for 3/6 months visit visa for them.

For sure, you need your mother/sister urgently near you.

All the best.

hi fahim,

i went to passport office to arrange for my mom's and sister's family visit visas. after submitting ALL documents (bank statement, letter from my sponsor, passport copy, marriage cert, rp copy, etc.), guess what?! they denied my application and said that i ask my husband to submit the documents.

so that's what i did... i submitted documents which i think were relevant in processing the visas.. anyways, my husband has been working here for 2 and a half years and recently moved to another company. since his resident visa has been renewed, he doesn't have the actual id yet AND THE guys from passport office are asking for a copy of that and the visa stamped on his passport (although i have even submitted the new work visa issued by immigration and even his appointment letter and bank & salary certificate!!!). aren't the documents w/c proves that he is in Qatar and is working legally sufficient?

i was even the one who went to passport office with my bulging tummy! the thing is, how can my husband get the salary thru ATM if he's an alien here???! and what are the basis of these people when they denie or issue visas? it seems to me that there are no clear cut rules.

it's just unfair because am only here to get my mom so that she can take care of me (for maximum of 2 to 3 mos. with my sister). my sister is just taking her vacation. they're not here to look for work!!!! am just so annoyed because am already 8 mos pregnant and am under a lot of stress. i have no choice but to give birth here since i think qatar airways won't allow me to travel anymore.

this is really terrible. any suggestions?

Hi Harisalpy

I appreciate your detaild information to help others.

I wonder if you could give me some guidelines on this. I have brought my mother (age 65) on a 1 month visit visa to qatar, I would like to extend it for at least 2 more weeks. Do you know if it is possible and how much it will cost?

Thanks again.

Can you suggest exactly which documents are required for applying for the 3 or 6 months visit visa to a family.

you have to complete the documentation & you / your PRO can submit it to passport office. you are required a standard no objection certificate from your sponsor too. i've trid the both ways & experienced the difference. that'z y i'm suggesting this. best regards & luck

Thanks harisalpy

Is it good to go the passport office alone or through company PRO/Mandook?

Is this 3 or 6 months visa a Visit Visa or some other type?

What documents and attestated copies needs to sumitted with the application for this visa.

Thanks again

I brought my family by in the same visa recently. initially they given 2 weeks & renewed for 2 more weeks later. again renewed for 4 weeks. the total is not 2 months but 8 weeks the maximum & they are taking 800 per one while renewing after completion of 1st 4 weeks. i suggest 3 or 6 months of visa from passport office is better.
