Visa Transfer

My Wife arrived here on a Visit Visa which is going to expire early next month. Two months ago, she was selected to work here with the Company agreeing to provide her with a Visa thereby transferring the Sponsorship from myself to the Employer. Subsequently, all the documents were provided from me to the Employer and the process is currently on. If the visa transfer is not able to take place before her visa expiry does she have to leave Qatar and return or is there a grace period that is given to get the visa transfer done during which time she can remain within the Country?

Kindly advise

what type of an existing visa you would like to renew? If it is a Family visit visa you dont have to bring any kind of documents for the renewal. Just give your QID then they will ask you how many months you would like to renew. you can renew upto max 5 months for 1st degree relatives and 2 months for others.

Note: you have to take the visitor to do the medical commission within one month of arrival.

What are the documents required when meeting the Captain to renew the existing visa for 1 month in the event the Employer is not able to process on time? Please advise.

It will take only one week for transferring a family sponsorship to an employer. So you dont have to worry. Visa will change to your wife's employer before her visa get expired.

If they have not changed before that, you must go to the Borders and Passports of expatriate affairs and meet the captain for another month renewal.
