Visa transfer from family visit to work visa

My Wife arrived in Qatar and was initially under my Sponsorship which is lapsing on the 2nd of February 2016. Subsequently, she got a job which offered her a work visa as well. Two weeks ago she received that Visa.

Further, this morning we received a message from Metrash that the Visa under my Sponsorship is going to expire on the date mentioned above.

What I need to know is if the NOC has automatically been done to secure the Visa and whether from the date of expiry of the visit visa, the work visa will automatically get operational.

The earliest clarification is much appreciated.

Best Regards

Shariz

Good day, same experience here . but the difference is we found it out late and we got a penalty..

Here’s the case of mine.

I am under my brothers sponsor “Family Visit Visa”

I got a job and they process my working Visa and every time I will check my passport number in MOI VISA it says there “my company need to pay my visa either nearest center or through metrash thats why I alwasy asking them when will they pay my visa.

but when the metrash message my brother that my visa will expire , I went to my employer and ask them if what will they do. the day after my expiration date of my visa they paid my visa under their company. they even showed me that I was under their company visa. after seeing that new visa of mine I got relaxed and I told to my brother that everything is settled so we dont need to renew my visa under my brothers visa. But 11days ago my brother checked his MOI (maybe its just his instinct to check it without any intentions) and he found out that we had a penalty 2200QAR for 11days , 200QAR per day... we didn’t know the reasons and whats really going on. thats why I ask my employer again... He said why my brother did not check it and why it tooks so many days to found out that I have penalty. In other words “they keep on blaming me and my brother about that case” my concern is How come I’ve got penalty when in my visa says I Am under there company’s visa ... I’ve got no explanation comming from them why it happened. at first they want me to pay all 2200 but I said no. then after they offer me to pay 1100 because they say I have no choice wether if I ask them to release me still I will pay the penalty. Thats why I agreed to pay half by salary deduction.

But still I really want to know the main reasons why I got penalty . and another thing I got my working visa for 6months and it says VALID TO USE.

thank you so much in advance for those who will answer my queries .

PS: I gave all the documents to them even my NOC.

Hello! Same situation here. My sister is under family visit visa. Her visa will expire on May 8. She found company wherein she needs to transfer her visa from family to working visa.

1. She need to exit to tranfer her visa or she can pay 500qr in immigration so that she doesn't need to exit anymore.

2. Her visa (family visit) will not be transferred if expired. (May 8)

3. Maximum visa extension for family visit visa is 7 months.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks in advance :-)

Thanks for the feedback. She is in family visit visa. The QAR 500 payment will be made tomorrow to the immigration.

I think it would settle it meaning she would not need to exit.

Believe this would be okay. Correct me if I am wrong.

Not actually... she needs to exit and come back or you can switch it with QAR 500. She may need to go for Medical & Finger print

Be Aware if she is in Family visit visa... the penalty will be QAR 200/day
