By somwerNdmiddle •
my sister will be coming over from Abu Dhabi for the Eid, her profession stated in her visa is ARCHITECT, does this qualify for VISA UPON ARRIVAL? if yes, where in the airport should she apply this and how much will be the cost?
I knew people irrespective of nationality coming and getting visa on arrival provided
1.they had a valid UAE residence with a validity period of 6 months !
2. Their profession had to be Engineer, doctor or manager.

Well she can! For information of all, All GCC residents having ceratin professions mentioned on their RP can avail the facility of visa on arrival in any GCC state except KSA.
Your very long link from Hookumi lists various professions for GCC Residents.
These are
Trader/businessperson, investor, partner
Commercial broker, Auditor, accountant, finance services officer, banker, Marketing executive, salesperson, quality supervisor, Pilot, cabin crew, flight attendant, flight director, aircraft technician, Manager of any kind, Ship crew, Engineer, Lawyer, legal advisor, judge
Doctor, psychologist, etc. etc.
Architect is not among them, though may be considered as an Engineer Possibly.
This However is for GCC Residents, which generally (as at the Airport) means GCC Citizens, not Expats who are resident.
Raven, That is for Tourist Visa. There are many other types of visas. Many Nationals other than the listed ones are coming from GCC countries using on arrival visas (I know some Indians on Managerial posts coming from Dubai and Oman).
However, I am not sure about the possibility for Architects.
She can get a visa on arrival being an Architect. Any how the air lines will verify before they provide boarding pass.
somwerNdmiddle, definitly she can get it, visa on arrival for the 33 nationalties is something completly different , so please stop misleading her people, she is an architect (vip)resident in dubai this is what matters,
Under the GCC Resident Visit Visa your sisters profession is NOT covered.

visa upon arrival in Qatar is for certain nationalities only, please check and confirm before arrival.
by nationality? she was told by her company that she can apply for visa upon arrival here
Not sure if she can get a Visa on Arival in Doha, I thought that was by Nationality rather than Profession. However the Visa cost I believe is still QAR 100 and has to be paid by Credit Card.
