visit visa question

Hi I'm from the UK, my partner is living /working in Doha & I have visited twice now & would really like to join him there.

I have been reading the forum's for a while now & finally I'm now writing in to ask advice .

I have been doing a little research , I could come over on a "visit visa" which lasts for three months.?

How long can I then be away for out of the country before I may revisit?

does anyone have any experience of this?  or can offer any advice?

thanks Shellbygirl

Hi Moudir, thanks for your reply, I appreciate your advice ,although I have visited Qatar twice I wasn't 100% on the length of stay I could come for.

...then why would there be a question...?

Visit the government site at:

http://www.e.gov.qa/eGovPortal/visaservice/

visaservicedetails.jsp?ServicePortal=VV

You cannot get a visa for 3 months. The maximum stay is 4 weeks, although the visa will say "good for 1 month", but you can only stay for 4 weeks, every additional day carries a penality of i think 200QR.

My wife was came to Doha on a visit visa before she received her permenant residency. In the airport you can get a visit visa for 3 WEEKS only and you are allowed to extend it for one more week. Then you have to leave Qatar after the fourth week. My wife used to fly to Bahrain for one hour and then come back on the same day to Qatar and get a new visa for a maximum of 4 weeks. My wife had to fly twice to Bahrain before she got her permenant residency
