Visit Visa requirements
My new company sent me an electronic visit visa. i was previously working in Qatar and i am coming back to a new company. This is what i currently have:
1. Electronic copy of my visit visa
2. One way ticket to Doha (due on 27th of march 2010)
3. Passport with previous working visa cancelled
From what i read and ask, i have to send my passport and visa copy to the Qatar embassy via DHL to be stamped and authenticated.
Questions:
1. Do I need a two way ticket?
2. Will they honor a printout of the visit visa sent to me electronically?
3. Do i still need a medical certificate from Philippines? note that i was previously working in Doha until December of last year.
Thank you very much for your replies!
Janemt...he doesnt even need NOC because he will come to Doha on visit visa. NOC is required if he will transfer to another company while in another sponsorship. For as long as he was already canceled and without employment ban, then he can be sponsored again from another employer.
Based on his statement, he will come on visit visa. All he needs to have is his round trip MNL-DOH-MNL, visa, pay terminal fee of Php 750 and travel tax of Php 1620 at the airport and he is all set to travel. By the way, the visit visa must be stamped on the passport. The traveler needs to send it to Doha Embassy in Manila.
The No Objection Certificate from your previous employer is the most important document you should have.
1. Yes, you need return ticket to Manila. The ticket must be Manila-Doha-Manila. In entering any country with a visit visa, you should have return ticket. Also, your passport's validity must be at least 6 months before your travel, regardless of your purpose of either really going on visit or will later on get employment.
2. If its a visit visa from Qatar, yes, Philippine Immigration will honor it but if it's UAE visit visa, you need the original visa as well as supporting papers.
3. You dont need a medical certificate.
4. Other info: The company that issued your visa must be reminded that they should inform immigration about your arrival in Doha (flight no. and date) for boarding clearance). Doha Immigration will no longer look at your entry visa once they already advised immigration.
Thanks for the replies guys! I have NOC, it's already with my new company.
yes, u should have a return ticket. With one way ticket u will not be able to board. Also a visa message should be given to the airlines.

you have to check if your holding a visit visa, business visa or work visa.
i guess too, you need to have a two way ticket or else the immigration officer will not let you board the plane as the purpose of your visa is only visit.
for the 2x2 picture i am not sure if it has a particular color requirement.
What about ur NOC from previous employer, do you have one ?
