Has the recent change in tourist visa requirements affected visa on arrival for the 30 or so nationalities? My aged parents, both UK citizens, arrive here in December for a short break and will not stay in a hotel.
Only if your parents use to work in Qatar within last 2 years, they will need a NOC letter even for the visit visa on arrival. This rule for brits was enforced in September 2008... Other than that they should be fine...
Just had two lots of friends and family over from the UK, no problems at all getting a tourist visa at the airport. They took the address of my villa just in case but were not asked to provide it at immigration, just paid QR100 and sailed on through....
My sons are coming from the UK for a month in December - Surely the government doesn't expect them to stay in a hotel for their whole visit - seems a bit silly to me!
Surely this new rule can't be right - can it?
You, and they, should be just fine.
