visiting visa for 70 year old
My friends brought their parents here for a month last year .They are over seventy .Now my husband is trying to get a visa for my mum who is 70 now - and they keep sending him from one office to the other - because "there is new regulation " and nobody seems to know how to arrange it .
Anybody could tell me something on it ?
Please check in www.qatarairways.com.qa or call 4496000 and ask No. of Al Maha Services in the Airport Office look for Ayee/Gladys/Gene
and there is a list in Al Maha service web site. Unfortunately my country is not on the list
Call your embassy here in Qatar and they will know if they are on the list or not.

I have the same problem.
Could anyone send me the web site where I can see the list?
http://yadiin.blogspot.co I found a homepage with a list I do not know when it was updated - but our country was not listed .

it was like that last year .but now there are new regulations - one of my compatriots says they are also sent from one office to the other -though last year everything went smoothly at the office near the airport .

ooh ,my country is not listed
Alma, Aisha is right. You can get a visa (15 days stay) on arrival at airport if your mom buys a Qatar Airways ticket. I did exactly the same for my mom-in-law and Maha service as well (24 hours before arrival).
One of my friends (Indian) got visa for his in-laws last month. Visa was applied under his wife’s sponsorship. After submitting the application, couple went and met the officer in charge of immigration (near airport) and made a request.Visa was sanctioned instantly. It’s a route, definitely worth trying….
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape!
Do you know what is the acceptable list (EU or the shorter) ?
I have the same problem with my Dad's visa
You say you are from Europe. Well, if your mom arrives by QA and she has one of the passports that is included in the acceptable list she will be able to get a visa upon arrival. This is what we do for our parents. We get the Maha service (meet & greet) and they will assist with the visa bit at the airport. I arranged all this with the local travel agency as I pay for & send my parents the tickets, the travel agency arranged everything for me, I paid everything incl the visa here. No trouble what so ever for the parents. So check with the Maha service or if you will send the ticket, immediately with the travel agency here. Good luck
