Considering your age on QL profile, it seems you are a bachelor..

It won't create any problem if you are having single status but would definitely work as a hurdle if ever you would wish to make PERMANENT VISA for your wife/kid..

Better talk to your HR DEPARTMENT asap..

same here, but my visa is a carpenter visa instead of engineer. Been working for almost 3 years and so far nothing bad has happened - visa wise. The only thing is that it is hard to get a family visa for my family. That is so far the benefit I cannot enjoy due to my visa status. Otherwise, everything is ok. If you're single then, i don't think there will be a problem unless you are not being paid as agreed. Anyway, you can try to ask your company to change it to an engineer visa, i have tried to ask them each year, but still they're not working on it. so i guess it depends on your mandoob....

Same happened to me, I am an engineer but my visa is for secretary, I've working here for almost 3 years as an inspector, my other co - workers got an engineer's visa. I used visit visa as an engineer when I arrived here. As of now I didn't encounter any problem yet, maybe it is easy for you to bring your wife here using engineer's visa than a driver's visa.
