Work visa for Pakistani to work in Qatar Aviation

I have been waiting for QP Visa. I have submitted all documents on 27th June 2007. Still no definit reply. According to QP they applied for visa by 2nd July.

I got a job in Qatar Investment Authority as an ERP Specialist. they applied for work visa on last sunday. it is completed around 1 week. could anyone can tell me how much time they will take more? they promised me for 3 to 4 weeks.

I have also signed a contract with the company in qatar 2 weeks before (pvt. co.). they told me that visa is under process. please advise any feedback in your case.

The company is asking me to provide the date for leaving to doha while i do not have copy of visa yet.

Zed, I am too waiting for work visa, over 3 weeks have passed. QP commits to get it this week so I guess you should get it soon. Ask your employer continuously as it might atleast remind them to track the application.

I am stuck into this situation too. My company got new 4years contract with one Gov. project. And I have to relocate within Gulf. I am pakistani by nationality.Its been two weeks I am waiting for my Work VISA, enough though I have been to Qatar many times before on visit visa and On arrival visa. Has anyone got any idea how long it takes to get work visa for Engineering Managerial position. My required my engineering degrees for visa purpose, I am not sure how long it takes for UK graduated engineer to get visa. Does anyone know if qatar immigration concern with qualifications or nationality to process the work visa.

How is the salary package like 21000 per month with 60% of housing (paid by company) and (car,phone and one ticket per year). Is it really expensive to pay 40% of housing from one's own pocket?

Hi Guys!Thanks for responding.The salary package package being offered is adequate for me I think.However if i see the cooments given on this website it seems that Qatar is very expensive to live.They are offering almost Qrs.3500.Ash you got visa a bit earlier because you had Cnadian Nationality as well.I belive such things depend on luck.Please give me additional info if you can.thanks.Take Care.

My husband got his visa in 3 weeks as mentioned in the joining documents...he'll be working for Qatar Airways. We were actually very surprised at how quickly the visa was issued. We are canadian/pakistani citizens.

I am still waiting for my work visa and its been 3 months and 1 week now! The HR of AL Jazeera International also told me the process time for my work visa would be around 3 weeks and can't explain why 3 weeks turned into 3 months!

I know some people waited for 7 months to get the work visa. Does the

process time depend on the nationality or

sponsor/employer? Plz if any one knows anything related to work visas let us know!

Visa for Pakistani available but taking long time due unknown reasons. Qatar Aviation is Good company as of very congested schedule of airlines. At times its very very busy at airport due small and limited facilities for the time being.. there are many Pakistanis working in Qatar Aviation...what package they are offering you....

I am also waiting for visa, QP told me they will get it in 3 weeks, and almost 2 weeks are over. The lady there with whom I correspond is still sure that she would be able to arrange everything at promised time.

What qatar aviation told you about visa processing duration?
